Newtan Insurance Limited (formerly UAP Insurance Tanzania) is a Dar es Salaam based general insurer licensed by the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (license IC‑2009‑0019 issued on July 17, 2008, active). Their operations span urban and rural areas, with regional branches in Mwanza, Arusha, Dodoma, Mbeya, Morogoro, Zanzibar, Mtwara, Kahama, and more.

In January 2025, UAP Insurance Tanzania officially rebranded to Newtan Insurance, becoming 90 % locally owned after a buyout of minority shares.
