Azam Media is a Tanzanian television broadcasting company that offers a variety of entertainment options, including sports, movies, series, documentaries, news, and children’s programming. Established in 2013, Azam Media is a subsidiary of the Bakhresa Group, a prominent industrial conglomerate in East Africa. The company operates Azam TV, a direct broadcast satellite service that provides audio, radio, and television channel services to subscribers across Tanzania and other East African countries.

Azam TV has significantly expanded its reach, now serving 1.4 million homes in Tanzania. In 2021, Azam TV secured the broadcasting rights for the Tanzanian Premier League in a deal valued at 225.6 billion Tanzanian shillings, ensuring exclusive coverage of the country’s top football league for the next decade. To enhance its broadcasting capabilities, Azam Media partnered with technology providers Lawo and Broadcast Solutions to launch a state-of-the-art outside broadcast truck, aiming to deliver superior sports broadcasting experiences. ​
